ABOUT FRANCESCO BELLA

I have received my BS degree in Control Engineering and Computer Science from University of Rome Sapienza in 2013.As a bachelor student, I researched the kinematic singularities for the robot KUKA LWR 4.Furthermore while pursuing my MSE in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, I have been a member of the SPQR Robocup Team of the University of Rome Sapienza. Thanks to this work I have started to develop a deep interest for autonomous and collaborativerobotics. Once obtained my MSE degree (2015), I have started to work into the field of robotic vision, being intrigued by the potential innovation that such research field has. I have worked in two different projects regarding surveillance purposes using an unmanned ground vehicle. Vision is an extremely rich source of information about the environment. Using monocular (or binocular) tracking systems is possible to perfectly track people or other moving objects, identify patterns and detect unexpected occurrences. Then I have been involved as a consultant in the Exomars Project; in particular I have focused my attention on the Drill (one of the rover\'s payload). As a functional analyst, I worked with Geocall Work Force Management software platform, which is a solution adopted for managing field activities, monitoring the work of operators in real time, organizing the processes, the methods and the time of interventions in order to optimize resources, costs and improve the service provided to the client in any field of application. I\'ve worked as a proposal engineer in Terna Energy Solutions (E-mobility Lab, Energy Management Systems, FO), which is the Terna Group company that is responsible for developing new business in the Italian market through non-regulated activities, always aimed at supporting the energy transition.Currently I am working in the Innovation Lab - Digital Tools Area, in which I manage innovative projects relating to the most relevant digital technology trends.
