About Francesco Desantis

Originally from Los Angeles, Francesco was first exposed to politics through Proposition 8, igniting a lifelong drive for equity and justice. This first manifested through his work with the Feminist Majority Foundation, but he quickly grew enamored with politics proper. In high-school, he worked on the Teddy Davis for LA City Council campaign, and later the Hillary for Nevada and Kamala Harris for Senate campaigns. In Nevada he served as Caucus Chair and Site Lead in one of the largest caucus locations outside of Las Vegas. In College, Francesco double-majored in Political Science and Political Communication at GW’s School of Media and Public Affairs (Class of 2020). Francesco has also learned a great deal about media and politics through his professional experience, first as a researcher and production assistant on Netflix’s documentary series Dangerous World of Comedy, doing opposition research at Spiros Consulting, and as an intern specializing in entertainment the Glover Park Group. Since graduating, he has been working as the Outreach Coordinator at the legendary public interest firm, the Center for Study of Responsive Law. His key skills are in strategic communications, entertainment, and social welfare policy.
