ABOUT FRANCESCO TAMBURRINO

Currently, I am Postdoctoral Researcher at \"Università di Pisa\", Department of Civil and Industrial Engineering. My research activities are mainly focused on additive manufacturing, industrial design, materials science and technology, cellular and dental materials. Postdoctoral researcher at \"Politecnico di Milano\" from july 2017 to september 2018, Department of Mechanics as part of the research programme named: “PROGETTO REGIONE LOMBARDIA NUVOLE (NUOVI PROCESSI VOLTI ALLA COSTRUZIONE DI OGGETTI LEGGERI ED ERGONOMICI IN COMPOSITO E TITANIO): SVILUPPO DI METODOLOGIE PROGETTUALI IN OTTICA DESIGN FOR ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING”. Member of Advanced Materials Lab, Department of Architecture and Industrial Design, University of Campania \"Luigi Vanvitelli\". Public dissertation of Ph.D. research on january 10, 2017. Research field in Material Science and Technology for Sustainable Development of Industrial Applications. Ph.D. course in Industrial Design, Department of Architecture and Industrial Design, University of Campania \"Luigi Vanvitelli\". Master’s degree in “Design for Innovation”. Expertise in Industrial Design and Product Development. Awarded at many design competitions, like the Urban Mobility Contest, promoted by UPS and Rizoma, with the project “GNORunner” (EICMA 2015, Milan) and the 2nd International University Student Art Design Works Exhibition(Shanghai Engineering Graphics Society). Proven knowledge of SolidWorks software and its add-in “SolidWorks Simulation”, of 3ds max, Autocad and Adobe package. Good knowledge of Advanced Manufacturing Technologies, Advanced and Smart Materials. Good knowledge of the main techniques for physico-chemical characterization of materials, as DSC(Differential Scanning Calorimetry), FT-IR(Fourier Transform Infrared) and Raman Spectroscopy. Good knowledge of English, basic knowledge of Portuguese.
