ABOUT FRANCESCO MIRIZZI

I am a transactional lawyer (admitted to practice in Italy since 2014) with experience working and studying in 4 countries across 3 continents.As a senior associate at Gianni & Origoni, where I also spent a year in the NY office, my practice focuses mainly on corporate matters, including domestic and cross-border M&A and Private Equity transactions.After graduating cum laude at Università degli Studi di Bari \"Aldo Moro\"(Italy) in 2011, I obtained a Ph.D. in Comparative Law, spending a semester as a Ph.D. Visiting Researcher at the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies - University of London (UK).I also earned a Master of Laws - LL.M. in Corporate Law, M&A and Private Equity at The University of Chicago Law School (USA), and I was a Kirkland & Ellis Corporate Lab Team Member. I have been a member of The University of Chicago Alumni Club of Italy since 2020.Prior to joining Gianni & Origoni, I was an associate of the Corporate-M&A department of Gitti and Partners (Milan), and a foreign associate of the Corporate-M&A department of Grandway Law Offices (Shanghai).•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~••~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•It makes me happy to dedicate part of my free time to mentoring students, trainees and young lawyers.
