ABOUT FRANCESCO IODICE
I am a Senior Attorney based in the Rome office of Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP. My professional practice focuses on corporate and financial transactions, with particular regard to financing, restructuring and insolvency matters, as well as M&A transactions, including in distressed situations. I also regularly advise clients on FDI (foreign direct investment) matters, both at European and Italian levels. I joined Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton in 2008. I was resident in the Milan office until 2013, then moved to the London office until 2015 and since then have been based in Rome. I graduated, summa cum laude, from the University of Siena in 2007. In 2006 I obtained a Diploma in Legal Studies from Worcester College, Oxford University, and in 2008 I graduated with distinction from St Catherine’s College, Oxford University, receiving a Magister Juris (MJur), for which I was also awarded the Clifford Chance Prize for the best overall performance. I have been a member of the Milan Bar since 2010. I am a native Italian speaker and am fluent in English and proficient in French and Spanish.
