About Francesco Dicosmo
I was one of the Top 10 Bassists picked by BILLY SHEEHAN for the MUSICIAN\'S INSTITUTE Scholarship Contest IN 1995. I then attended and graduated at the top of the class with the VOCATIONAL HONORS AWARD, also receiving the HUMAN RELATIONS AWARD AT MUSICIANS INSTITUTE. This led me to assistant teaching and private instruction at MUSICIANS INSTITUTE. Reputation and experience led me to audition for DWEEZIL ZAPPA, VONDA SHEPARD from TV\'s \"Allie McBeal\" AND THE NEW RADICALS. I then played with Guitar Phenom, CHRIS POLAND & recorded the Funk/Jazz/Rock Fusion record called,\"CHASING THE SUN\". I caught the attention of label exec FRED BROWN at WARNER BROTHERS and was referred to work with Guitarist/Singer STAN WHITTAKER,(Peter Gabriel/Happy The Man) which led to form the awesome Power Rock/Pop trio SPIRIT NOISE. I worked with Producer DAVE FORTMAN & recorded the album \"FALLEN\" by EVANESCENCE, of which the single \"BRING ME TO LIFE\" was #1 on BILLBOARD\'s TOP 40 CHART. I received TWO GRAMMY CERTIFICATIONS for ”FALLEN\" which was Nominated for FIVE GRAMMYS & Won TWO GRAMMYS FOR BEST ROCK PERFORMANCE & BEST NEW ARTIST AT THE 46TH ANNUAL GRAMMY AWARDS IN FEB. 2004 AND HAS SOLD OVER 14 MILLION COPIES WORLD WIDE. Two tracks from \"FALLEN\" are also on the soundtrack of MARVEL’S comic book movie \"DAREDEVIL\" starring Ben Affleck. I was also the most recent Bassist for the Quintessential Band THIN LIZZY from 2006 to 2008 playing with World Renowned Guitarist & Singer JOHN SYKES, Amazing original Thin Lizzy guitarist SCOTT GORHAM & Drumming Legend TOMMY ALDRIDGE then in 2009 played Bass and Keyboards for JASON BONHAM formerly of BONHAM, FOREIGNER & LED ZEPPELIN. I recently started AudioVision Productions, A Music Composition and digital media Production Company for TV & Film, Videogames, Radio Commercial Imaging, voiceover and professional songwriting & recording projects.
