ABOUT FRANCESCO DI PIETRO

Over 13 years of cumulated experience in the implementation of activities for On-shore Oil & Gas and Petrochemicals Projects.After a brief experience at the Chemical Engineering Department of La Sapienza Università di Roma, I joined Technip Italy in 2010 as Start-up Engineer.During the first two years at the Start-up Department I mainly followed the preparation of Operating Manuals and the System Subdivision for the Commissioning requirements and I had the first experience in a Construction Site where I was involved in the Commissioning and Handover of the Electrical Heat Tracing System. Afterwards I spent two years and half at site (grass-roots refinery) in Saudi Arabia where I was in charge of the Commissioning Database, the Punch List Management and Plant Handover to Company. During 2015 I was involved in the system subdivision of an Ethylene Unit and I coordinated the set-up and management of the Commissioning Database. After the completion of the Home Office phase, at the beginning of 2016, I moved to the Ethylene construction site, in Mexico, for 14 months managing the Handover of the Plant to the Client.From the second part of 2016 up to the end of 2019 I worked in an HDPE project. In the home office phase I mainly set up the commissioning database and I wrote the Operating Manual of the Process Units, as well as the procedures/documents relevant to the Commissioning and Start-up. During the site phase I was involved in the punch list management, plant handover and system walkthroughs organization.Since 2020 I have been working in home office, as Precommissioning Manager of a Renewable Jet Fuel and Water Water Treatment projects, to be executed in Rotterdam.I enjoy working in a dynamic and challenging environment and proactive in problem solving and delivering to a high standard. A key attribute is my ability to manage people and have strong communication skills.
