ABOUT FRANCESCO DE GIUSEPPE
Thanks to my long experience in passive infrastructures for Telecom Radio Access Networks, Data Centers, and Technology Centers, I’ve developed deep knowledge and expertise- Creation of site design guidelines, technical specifications, procedures for installation, commissioning, and maintenance- Development and project management of energy saving initiatives for power and cooling- Suppliers’ selection and tenders (RFI models and evaluation grids, RFQ, etc.)- Lead of international working groups for standardization of solutions for power, cooling, housing, and services, based on CapEx and OpEx models- Renewable and sustainable power generation systems based on photovoltaic panels, wind turbines, fuel cells, alternative fuels for combustion engines, and other- From kVA to MVA Diesel Generators for emergency and continuous power applications- From kW to MW no-break power sources for Power Continuity based on 48Vdc Power Systems, Static UPS and Diesel Rotary UPS, including energy storage and battery backup solutions- Mechanical cooling and free-cooling systems for low-capacity applications in Access Network sites, and high-capacity applications in Data Center and Core Network sites - Firefighting systems based on point optical or HSSD detection systems, and automatic fire suppression systems - IT and Telco equipment installation solutions: racks and power distribution units, Hot or Cold Aisle Containment systems for data center applications- Integrated outdoor applications in containers or street cabinets, and other tailored solutions for specific applications. In the recent years I focused my attention on three main topics: innovation in energy storage for greener and safer solutions, like Sodium-Ion batteries; and others; extreme energy efficiency through Liquid Cooling applications Data Centers and not only; impact of refrigerants and fire-extinguishers on Carbon Emissions and Fugitive Gas Strategy for Carbon Transition Plan.
