ABOUT FRANCESCA BARISANI

For more than 15 years I’ve been writing, managing and reporting complex innovation projects, funded by national and international donors (such as Horizon Europe, Horizon2020, 7th Framework Programme, MISE, MAECI, Regione Lombardia, EuropeAid), at first in the international cooperation field and then in the research and innovation area. I’ve worked both in Italy and abroad in various different settings, from international consulting companies (AlienTT, PNO Consultants and Inspiralia) to Embassies and Councils (General Council of Brazil and Trade office of the Embassy of Israel in Milan), from NGOs (CESVI) to SMEs, from start-ups to big companies and Academia (Università degli Studi di Brescia), managing funded projects (up to 22 partners for a project), creating new partnerships, drafting budgets and projections, developing business plans and feasibility studies for projects, products and innovations. The key element that has characterized my professional years is certainly the capacity to successfully plan and execute complex projects managed from different perspectives (financial, operational, people-based) across multiple sectors (health, environment, energy, IT, AI) and types of stakeholders (public and private). I have indeed an extensive experience (more than 10 years) in managing complex CRM situations and big partnerships, running and overseeing projects of up to 18 members each, for a value of >€15M per project. Working as Coordinator of a team of Project Consultants at PNO and AlienTT I could manage remote teams of up to 15 people coming from different countries. Furthermore, working with EU grants where only highly disruptive and highly risky innovations are granted, I could sharp my ability to deeply analyze teams, companies and ideas, preparing feasibility reports, market analysis, business projections as well as due diligences. As A Coordinator, I also had to regularly monitor the progress of projects and Project Consultants, identifying corrective actions when needed, being accountable for KPIs related to the team’s activities and supporting the projects drafting. And now, I am eager to face new challenges!
