About Francesca Auricchio Elfner

Francesca was born in Milan, Italy into a cheesemaking family and moved with her family to the United States in 1979 where she spoke Italian at home and English in school. She spent many summers in Italy as a child and learned the importance of Italian cuisine not only for nutrition, but for entertaining with family and friends. After graduating from Boston College with a double major in Finance and Marketing, Francesca worked for a year at a financial institution, and then joined BelGioioso Cheese as the Assistant Regional Sales Manager for the Boston, MA market. In 2001, she was appointed to the Director of Sales and Marketing position for the company in Denmark, Wisconsin. After working in this area for five years, Francesca transitioned into the Operations side where she worked closely with plant personnel to ensure the successful production of BelGioioso Classic Italian cheeses. Lately, she has been working with trademarks and whey operations for the company.Francesca enjoys spending time with family, traveling with friends and volunteering with charitable organizations in the Green Bay area.
