ABOUT FRANCESCA RENDA

U.S. and Italian citizen. I was born in Ecuador and lived in Honduras, Lebanon, and New York prior to moving to Spain to study at IE University. Having lived in both refugee-hosting and refugee-producing countries, I have worked with and for refugees and vulnerable populations for most of my life, including tutoring English, organizing drives for food and toiletry donations, and supporting community orientation. I have been inspired to advocate for refugee and immigrant rights, women’s rights, and have a passion for international politics. Ciudadana estadounidense e italiano. Nací en Ecuador y viví en Honduras, Líbano y Nueva York antes de mudarme a España para estudiar en IE University. Habiendo vivido tanto en países que acogen refugiados como en países productores de refugiados, he trabajado con y para refugiados y poblaciones vulnerables durante la mayoría de mi vida, incluyendo enseñando clases de inglés, organizando campañas para donaciones de alimentos y artículos de tocador y apoyando a la orientación comunitaria. Me he inspirado para defender los derechos de los refugiados e inmigrantes, los derechos de las mujeres y tengo pasión por la política internacional.
