ABOUT FRANCESCA LUMINASI

I have been working for the South-Tirolean clothes manufacturer Luis Trenker for the last 10 years, taking on increasing responsibilities and becoming Purchasing and Planning Manager recently. In my current position, I take care of both the day-to-day management of purchasing orders for fabrics and accessory parts, restocking and price negotiation with suppliers, as well as the long-term strategy building with the stylists and samples team. I also cooperate directly with all our suppliers and manufacturers, negotiating prices and lead times, planning MRP through forecasting and monthly meetings in Tuscany where the majority of them are located. Along with a strong critical thinking and negotiation, planning and organizational skills, I work together with the Production Director to plan the garments delivery and production timeline. My duties also include constant reporting for Sales, CEO, F&A, Online Team and Logistics, to guarantee company-wide alignment on the garments and fabrics arrival plan and accommodate for last minute changes. I am a motivated and driven professional, at ease both working and coordinating in a team setting as well as managing a fully independent leadership. I love to organize, schedule and work in a smooth environment where empathy and smiles are more than welcome and open communication is the key to success.
