ABOUT FRANCESCA GOBBIN
I work as a Structural Engineer at Rocksoil! At work, I deal with a wide range of engineering large scale projects, obtaining experience in technical design and project coordination and working within a multi-discipline team of engineers, technicians and other professionals.I obtained my European PhD in Civil Engineering in April 2021. During my Doctoral studies, I have developed novel algohrithms based on the Discrete Elements Method for seismic analysis of masonry structures. The model is validated by evaluating the structural response of different historical buildings.My interests are in computational mechanics and numerical analysis, structural design, coding, process automation, seismic engineering and architectural heritage conservation. I am a dynamic and curious person. I like to learn and approach new scientific fields.I love nature, outdoors sport, animals and travelling. In my free time, I enjoy running, dancing and doing adventurous activities like skiing, surfing/windsurfing, hiking, scuba diving, free camping!
