ABOUT FRANCESCA BOTTOLI

Once a friend gave me a little notebook made of recycled paper, on the cover there was a quote, “Happiness is a journey, not a destination.” That sentence has become my motto. I love traveling, discovering new places, and meeting new people. Each time that I travel, I feel myself enriched by the experience and I learn more about me than about the place that I am visiting. I believe that this is very important, because nobody can do everything, there is no Superman, but we can learn what our limits are, and try to get over them and improve our skills. Traveling has taught me to be flexible and dynamic, not to be scared about new realities, and to make the most of each opportunity. Thanks to my internships (Italian Chamber of Commerce and Pareo Srl) I have learned how to work on a team as well as on my own, and gain as much advantage and success as I can. Since I have traveled in countries quite different from Western Europe, I have developed effective communication skills, which allow me to get along with people, to understand their backgrounds and their needs. This is the reason why I would like to work in the field of PR & Marketing. Recently I have also started studying and analyzing the field of negotiation, including the skills required and the typical phases and the structure of the process. Currently I am spending fall semester 2016 at Dominican University of California, and am doing research for my final thesis concerning the negotiation between energy companies and foreign states.Specific fields of interest include Negotiation, International Cooperation and PR & Marketing.
