ABOUT FRANCES WEINER
Frances is a community builder, workshop facilitator, writer and speaker who believes that the best ideas come from communities working together. As a social entrepreneur and current Economic Recovery Corps Fellow, she spends her days designing programs and facilitating conversations that help founders, creators and community leaders bring their boldest ideas to life. She\'s committed to change that\'s participatory and community-led, weaving together social innovation, ecosystem building, nature-based solutions, storytelling and cultural shifts. Most recently, she served as President and Executive Director at the MidTown District Reno, where she led efforts to reimagine what community-based economic development can look like. Before that, she\'s built cohort programs, facilitated countless workshops, and created spaces where people can connect, learn, and grow together.She\'s been fortunate to share insights on leadership, co-creation and entrepreneurship at various conferences as well as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Nevada, Reno.As a lead fellow facilitator for various Economic Recovery Corps gatherings, she gets to work with incredible change-makers across the country. She holds a BA in Psychology from Ohio University and an MBA in Business Management from the University of Nevada, Reno—but honestly, some of her best learning has come from listening to communities tell their own stories. When she\'s not facilitating or strategizing, you\'ll find her geeking out on the natural cycles of life (especially the moon phases), or dreaming up the next gathering that brings people together.
