I am currently a senior R programmer at Certara. I am a driven people-focused data science professional with a wide range of experience in R&D.My colleagues know me as a motivating person, who focused on finding new and innovative solutions to problems throughout my professional journey at Certara UK Ltd, Almac Discovery Ltd, the University of Dundee, and NIHR UK Biocentre.My academic background includes completing an MSc in Applied Bioinformatics at Cranfield University with Distinction and a BSc(hons) in Biochemistry from the University of Bath. I have previously won the Santander Scholarship for the academic year 2021/22, for women studying STEM subjects and the prize for Best Effort for the academic year 2021/22My key achievements in areas of interest include: R expert, competency in Python and Bash scripting, statistical data analysis, web development using Angular and R Shiny frameworks, JavaScript and NodeJS, SQL and graphical user interface building using Java. Able to analyse a diverse range of bioinformatical datasets, ranging from NGS, DNA Methylation, structural biology, chemoproteomics screens, metabolomics, and GWAS. Trained graduates in basic laboratory procedures, explaining SOP\'s, assessing competencies and supervising their work. I provided training on safe laboratory practices under ISO 9001:2015/ISO 15189:2012 conditions and general safe working practices within a laboratory environment. Supervised teams of up to 60 people in one of the UK\'s largest diagnostic laboratories.
