At Three, my role as Senior Manager in Radio & Access Technology Strategy and Architecture involves steering our strategic direction towards a future of superior customer experience and network performance. With a solid background in high-level architecture and network design and programming and data science skills built on the foundation of high research skills (gained from PhD study), I oversee the creation of long-term technology roadmaps and architecture, enabling us to maintain a competitive edge.My leadership in cross-functional strategic initiatives has been instrumental in modernizing our radio access networks (RAN), directly contributing to significant enhancements in both performance and economics. By providing expert advice to our C-level executives and the Regulatory team, I ensure that our technology endeavours comply with and influence industry regulations, solidifying our position at the forefront of telecommunications innovation.Key Achievements•Developing very ML-based comprehensive performance (speed and latency) and capacity modelling, used in CMA submission as part of the proposed Vodafone/Three merger. The model was used in many economic scenarios •Developed a new RAN/backhaul architecture that reduces the latency by 95%(from avg 20 ms to below 1 ms).•A leading role for a large-scale strategic RFP to introduce the 2nd RAN vendor in the 3UK network, leading the specification for different mobile and FWA technologies, including Massive MIMO, antenna, Open RAN, Cloud RAN, BBUs, radios.•Developing an investment prioritisation model that bridges the commercial and network priorities, producing an investment recommendation for 2~5 years budget spent based on network load, user experience, churn and revenue.•The Development of cutting-edge 4G & 5G system-level simulator capacity and speed modelling tools for comprehensive technical performance analysis. The simulator provides significant business input and helps in the end-2-end strategic decisions (core, transport and RAN). The tools also helped the external correspondence, e.g. OFCOM, EU Commission consultation responses, Ref: Three\'s response to Ofcom.
