ABOUT FOTIOS KOTZAKIOULAFIS
With a diverse professional portfolio, I’ve collaborated with international organizations including The Exploration Company, NATO, and the European Commission. These experiences have sharpened my cross-cultural communication and leadership skills, particularly in fast-paced and high-stakes environments. In the space sector, I hold multiple leadership, coordination, and research positions focused on international space governance, strategic outreach, and applied legal development. I serve on the Executive Council of the Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC), contributing to global strategic planning and representing the perspectives of emerging professionals within the space domain. As National Coordinator for Germany at the Moon Village Association, I oversee national outreach and stakeholder engagement activities related to international lunar cooperation and sustainable development on the Moon. In addition, I am the Founder and Hub Manager of Space Network | Greece, an initiative I established to strengthen the visibility and connectivity of the Greek space community while promoting knowledge exchange with global space actors.Research-wise, I contribute to Rythmysis - the National Institute of Artificial Intelligence, Personal Data, and Digital Governance Law, focusing on applying artificial intelligence to space infrastructure, including security, orbital autonomy, and satellite data integration. This work builds on my experience with SGAC project groups on Near Earth Objects, Space Law and Policy, Space Safety and Sustainability, and Space Exploration, providing a strong foundation in both the technical and regulatory aspects of space activities. Academically, I hold a BA in International Business Management and an MSc in Human Resources Management, and I’m currently pursuing a Law degree. This multidisciplinary background equips me to address complex challenges with strategic insight and systemic thinking, while effectively bridging the domains of business, law, and space innovation.
