I\'m a creative leader with over 20 years at the BBC, now focusing on how AI can enhance storytelling and content creation. As the AI & Innovation Lead for BBC Local, I\'ve been exploring practical applications of generative AI in journalism and programme-making.Since the start of the year, I\'ve led workshops introducing AI tools like Copilot to nearly 260 colleagues and have piloted AI-powered editing software for social video, with plans for broader roll out to supercharge our video capability. My approach emphasises making AI accessible and beneficial for content creators.Previously, as Executive Producer at BBC Radio Manchester, I led award-winning teams, launched new programmes, and navigated the challenges of a dynamic news environment. My background also includes roles at BBC Radio 4 and the BBC Academy, where I focused on training and development.I\'m passionate about integrating emerging technologies into editorial workflows to support creativity and efficiency.
