   In my legal practice, I serve as legal counsel to churches in all aspects of their legal and ecumenical lives, including issues relating to denominational affiliation, property rights, employment, corporate, contract and tort issues, and first amendment considerations. Specializing in church property litigation, and avoidance of litigation, I represent and advise churches in general civil matters, property matters, and ecclesiastical/legal issues. I have been blessed to work with churches across the denominational spectrum, including Presbyterian, Methodist, Baptist, Friends, Eastern Orthodox, Roman Catholic, Assemblies of God, Wesleyan, non-denominational, and others.Throughout my career, I have focused on civil litigation, with an emphasis on defending railroads, defending catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death cases; and representing manufacturers in products liability cases, including both domestic.and international manufacturers. For the railroads, I defend Class One carriers and Short Line railroads in FELA cases, crossing claims, commercial and tort actions, and am a member of the National Association of Railroad Trial Counsel. I also represent Developers and Commercial Property Owners, including shopping malls, apartment building landlords and developers, and serves as trial counsel in a variety of tort actions on their behalf. As with most lawyers - and litigators in particular - the breadth of the types of cases is often defined by what the clients request, bringing particular litigation skills to bear to address the client\'s concerns. I have been able to represent doctors and hospitals in medical malpractice cases, defend attorneys in legal malpractice actions, and counsel not-for-profit entities in their business matters, including obtaining 501(c)(3) status.
