ABOUT STÉPHANIE FONTAINE

My commitment : That everyone can have access to a beneficial experience in health care. After twenty years in finance as a fellow actuary, I wanted to give meaning to my experience with a mental health disorder. I switched towards workers’ well-being and then to social impact world. To add academic knowledge to my experiential and professional knowledge, I have just completed my master\'s degree in public health. My strengths; • Strong commitment to improving the healthcare experience • Project management and stakeholder engagement • Demonstrated success overseeing large-scale projects • Varied and complementary professional experiences • Decision-making based on quantitative and qualitative analysis • Fluency in verbal and written communications • Ability to share my recovery journey with a mental health issue It has been said of me (and it touches me so much!): • “Behind these accomplishments, there is the enthusiasm, the relentless efforts and the many and important skills of Stéphanie.[…] I was able to see her major commitment – and her real ability – to make a difference […], for individuals as well as for organizations.[…] In addition to her ardor and her passion, Stéphanie has always demonstrated a great sense of ethics and responsibility. Her rigor is reflected as much in her internal work as in her external communications […]. I have repeatedly been able to see Stéphanie express herself on her own experiential experience. Her speech promotes self-determination and the principle of the primacy of the person. Stephanie talks openly about her recovery journey, with simplicity, pursuing the goal of reducing stigma and emphasizing hope. She will be a major asset and a driving force within [your team].” « Stephanie has demonstrated an ability to think objectively about her work while at the same time, drawing upon her own personal experience as someone living with bipolar disorder. Stephanie has showed tremendous leadership, commitment and professionalism. Stephanie brings to the table a positive attitude, a joyful energy, and a “can-do” mindset. She sees the big picture and all the opportunities around her, as well as the potential for opportunities. She is creative in her considerations of solutions to large-scale problems and has a knack for developing the connections and relationships needed to bring her vision to life.”
