ABOUT FELIPE MARTINEZ

When your cargo is stuck at customs, nobody cares about your supply chain strategy. They care about getting it released. Fast. Accurately. Without surprise fees. That’s what I do at OnBoard Logistics and it’s what drove me to build something on the side that I wish had existed years ago. Here’s my journey: 2018: Started as a part-time air and ocean export operator at OnBoard in Miami. Learned every lane, every document, every customs headache firsthand. 2021: Graduated from Florida State, went full-time at OnBoard as Business Development Manager. Built client relationships across Latin America and helped expand our footprint in Colombia, Peru, Dominican Republic, and beyond. 2023–24: Managed trade lanes out of Barcelona and Milan with Avion. Saw the same broken pattern everywhere — importers losing money on tariff misclassifications, duty guesswork, and manual processes. 2025: Back at OnBoard as Lead Project Coordinator. Now I’m leading CargoWise implementations, electronic invoicing rollouts, and system integrations across 15+ countries. Driving the digital transformation that keeps OnBoard ahead of the curve. On the side, I took that same frustration with broken duty calculations and built InstaDuty; an AI-powered platform where importers upload an invoice and get HS codes, tariffs, and a full duty report in seconds. Because I’d seen the problem a thousand times from the inside.
