ABOUT FRASER MATHIESON
An expert in gas distribution, energy regulation, code governance and stakeholder engagement, I help connect people to the markets within which they operate in order to manage change, develop solutions and maximise opportunities. I understand existing and emerging energy markets, government policy and policy direction, the impact of regulatory changes and their implications for investment decisions. Having worked in a variety of roles for a large Gas Transporter and Code Administrator, I have end-to-end experience of the gas industry, ranging from emergency operations to customer service to code modifications and change development.I understand the current political, social and economic environment of UK energy markets and continuously look for opportunities to bring my knowledge to focus on regulatory change, market design and code governance to enable the effective transition of the GB energy industry to a low carbon, distributed system where innovative solutions will be required to implement and manage the changing nature of energy security in terms of generation, storage and demand.
