About Richard B Lord

Richard, is a Fellow of the American College of Civil Trial Mediators (ACCTM), Diplomate Member of the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals, member of the ABA Section of Dispute Resolution, and Fellow of the American Bar Foundation. In 2023, Richard co-founded ADRsource with mediator Scott Baughan after mediating for 23 years with Upchurch, Watson, White and Max. He has mediated over matters and has been a full-time mediator since Richard has been a Florida Certified Circuit Court Mediator since 1997 and is also a Certified U.S. District Court Mediator (Middle District of Florida). A leader in the field, Richard previously served as the membership coordinator of the ACCTM; served six years on the Council of the ABA Section of Dispute Resolution and has served on various Section task forces, Co-Chair of the Standing Committee on Membership and Co-Chair of the Mediation Committee. Richard completed Harvard\'s Program of Instruction for Lawyers (Harvard Negotiation Institute) Advanced Negotiation Course entitled \"Advanced Negotiation: Making Difficult Conversations Productive\", June 2008. He mediates all types of civil litigation matters including personal injury, product liability, long-term care, first-party insurance, medical malpractice, discrimination, commercial, and employment matters. For in-person mediations, his \"home base\" stretches from West Palm Beach to Plantation and Miami to the south and Orlando to the north. He is available nationwide via Zoom.
