ABOUT MARTY WHITE
I am a retired law enforcement officer from the Daytona Beach Police Department. In my 20 years at that agency I served in several specialized units including, Motors, Street Crimes, and Detective Bureau where my last assignment was as a homicide detective. I was in Special Operations at the rank of sergeant, promoted to lieutenant and retired while assigned as a shift commander. I worked my way through my undergrad while an officer, and attended law school while I was a sergeant and lieutenant. I graduated from law school one year after I retired from the police department and passed the Florida Bar shortly thereafter. As an attorney, I have been an assistant state attorney and have prosecuted everything from misdemeanors to juvenile to felonies and did so in two separate circuits. I have had trials in all disciplines and in each circuit. Now I represent law enforcement and corrections officers who are involved in disciplinary actions, internal investigations, law enforcement certification hearings and those who are the focus of a criminal investigation and/or prosecution.
