About Florian Flo Kanoho-Taong

After 11 incredible years of military service, I am now pursuing a full-time or apprenticeship position as a Frontend Developer. Although I prefer working remotely, I am open to negotiating for positions in Rhode Island that require on-site or hybrid work. For the past two years I\'ve helped startup businesses increase their digital visibility and revenue by offering website development services on Fiverr. I\'ve earned the Web Foundations and JavaScript Specialist certifications, and I\'m also working on personal projects to enhance my skills! Currently sharpening HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and React.js. In my 5+ years as a Signal Officer in the US Army, I\'ve advised senior management and customers on how best to implement their IT systems for secure, reliable, and on-demand communication up and down the chain of command. I\'ve led teams that enabled senior management and executives to communicate via satellite by installing, operating, and maintaining the network and equipment for the organization\'s headquarters. I\'ve led a team that enabled users to communicate over low-frequency and high-frequency radios by installing, operating, and maintaining radio communications, and managing the maintenance program for the organization. I\'ve led a team that provided users with secure communications across the globe in tactical environments by installing and managing cryptographic systems and keys for the organization. To fill the gap between my military experience and what I\'ll be expected to know in the civilian workforce, I\'ve interned with the US Department of Agriculture shadowing the ServiceNow Program Manager, project managers, and product owners who use the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology to develop features on the ServiceNow platform. I observed how teams monitor key performance indicators and milestones, identify and resolve roadblocks, and present deliverable to stakeholders using management tools to improve workflows and applications for users. I also recently completed a PMP certification course. What is simple is clear. What is clear is understood. What is understood gets done.
