This senior executive-level position is a key member of the Office of City Finance Executive Team. The Business Systems Director develops and executes enterprise integration strategies that will improve collaboration in implementing business process areas for City Finance, HR, Timekeeping, and Payroll. The director understands business objectives and identifies technology solutions to solve business problems by working closely with the senior OCF team and other key stakeholders. The Business System Director is responsible for overseeing the effective operation of all applications in the ERP ecosystem and integrating data to various environments. The Business Systems Director will ensure solid, repeatable, documented processes and policies are in place, followed, and maintained.City Finance is responsible for the financial operations of the City of Seattle. Working in partnership with the City’s Budget Director, City Finance oversees the City’s financial control functions and enterprise reporting responsibilities while working to achieve the goals set by the Mayor and the City Council.City Finance, which includes approximately 160 employees, manages enterprise-wide transaction programs and is comprised of six divisions (listed below). City Finance also supports the City Council and its staff by providing financial information and technical expertise as they develop financial policies. The City Finance Director, a member of the Mayor’s Cabinet, serves on the board of the City’s retirement systems and is a voting member of the City’s Economic and Revenue Forecast Council.
