ABOUT FLORENCE GOURGEON
I\'m a woman in engineering, but I\'m not an engineer. I used to be a civil servant at the French Ministry of Budget and before that I taught high-school French and Latin. Yet now I have a position of responsibility at Thales, where I\'ve been for the last 14 years, and I\'m more convinced than ever that inclusion is actually working in the world of engineering.I am personally committed to increasing diversity and inclusion in my day-to-day job and through an active involvement in the We in Thales (WITH) network.I believe there is plenty of room for women in our high-tech world, and we need to help them seize those opportunities from a very young age. I\'ve already started encouraging my own twin girls! Inclusion drives innovation by mixing new ideas and new approaches to problem-solving, and I regularly challenge my teams to trust their intuition and develop innovative ways of working collaboratively internally and with our customers to develop the new products and services that fit their expectations!
