About Flora Sofia

I began my journey in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, where my passion for languages and life\'s complexities emerged early. With a degree in Spanish Language and Literature from UFMG, I ventured across continents, from San Diego to Los Angeles, and finally to Boston, constantly redefining myself. As a Spanish teacher, my ambitions led me to modeling and acting, balancing these with a successful corporate career. My diverse experiences include being a Miss Brasil USA finalist, working with UPS and Ford Motor Co, and gracing runways at OC Fashion Week, Fashion Week San Diego, and more recently, Boston Fashion Week. I\'ve also pursued personal and professional growth through courses like HarvardX\'s writing program. Growing up amid racism and violence, I faced significant challenges, including extreme violence. These experiences forged my resilience and unbreakable self-esteem. Inspired by Adlerian psychology, I write to empower women to transform their traumas into confidence and peace. My life proves that the impossible is just a milestone. Through my mentorship and writing, I strive to help others find their voice and place in the world. I am the author of four books, which I wrote in English and translated into Brazilian Portuguese. I am currently seeking print, commercial, and theatrical representation in Boston and New York City.
