ABOUT FLORA S.
I own and manage TopFoto, one of the great, independent, family-owned and managed historic picture archives, TopFoto.co.uk (since 1927, we began as the John Topham Picture Library and are still occasionally referred to as Topham). Our internationally significant archive was awarded a substantial grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund in 2020/2021. The archive contains millions of precious glass negatives, prints, transparencies and illustrations dating from 1900 onwards. Key exclusive representations include the legendary Punch magazine and cartoons; Take Stock USA (civil rights); The Rio Cinema Tape / Slide Project (1980s); Chicago History Museum, exclusive representative for photographers Mark Godfrey (Watergate), Colin Jones (The Black House, The Who), Roger Bamber (multi international award winning press photographer). We own and protect the 1950s photography of iconic film director Ken Russell. We have 3.5 million images online, history to current affairs, and we are growing. I can be contacted via Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, Fellow of the British-American Project. I sing with a folk band, Edgelanders, when time allows.
