The JESUS Film Project distributes the film \"JESUS,\" a two-hour docudrama about the life of Christ based on the Gospel of Luke. The film has been seen in every country of the world and is translated into more than 2,200 languages since its 1979 release. It remains the most translated and viewed film in history - recognized for the Guinness World Record as \"the most translated film.\"\"JESUS\" was filmed entirely at 202 locations in Israel in 1979, with a cast numbering more than Israelis and Arabs. Whenever possible, scenes were filmed on the sites where they took place years ago.2019 was the film\'s 40th anniversary year. It was fully restored and re-mastered, including color, sound and a new musical score with the 35th anniversary edition which is available on Blu-ray and HD DVD.We are partnered with more than 1,800 churches, missions and organizations worldwide to continue to translate the film into the heart language of every people group possible, produce additional versions of the film as well as follow-up films, and to distribute it in every way possible utilizing all avenues of modern technology and digital media.
