Redevelopment of a Node.js/Typescript/MongoDB city lighting command center to Golang, improving availability from 85% to 99% and scalability from 10s to of devices/server, reaching tens of thousands of lighting units by taking advantage of Golang multiprocessing features (goroutines and channels).• AVR ATmega128 firmware programming (C language, PlatformIO) of lighting control units.• Optimization of a Java/JDBC/Oracle-based heavy-duty insurance system that processes over 10 million transactions daily. I reduced batch processing times running on AWS-EC2 from 5 to 3½ hours by improving SQL database usage, employing query optimization and batch updates, and improving threading by adopting a work-thread pipeline, atomics, and concurrent collections.
