About Sean Flaherty

As the Director of Manufacturing Engineering at Crye Precision LLC, I lead a team of engineers and technicians in designing and optimizing manufacturing processes for apparel and hard goods. With over 15 years of experience in mechanical engineering, I have a proven track record of improving efficiency by over 50% through automation development and process analysis. I also design tooling and fixtures for various products, including helmets, ballistic vests, and water jet cutting. Additionally, I manage new product introductions from prototype to high volume production. Prior to joining Crye Precision, I was the Director of Research and Development at Rocky Mountain Scientific Laboratory, where I oversaw a diverse set of projects, including R&D, automated systems, munitions, and product design. I hold a Master\'s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder and a Bachelor\'s degree from the University of New Mexico School of Engineering.
