ABOUT PHIL FISHER

I’m an experienced Problem Manager at BT with 30+ years in the telecoms industry, leading customer-focused teams and tackling complex challenges with a calm, solutions-driven approach. My passion lies in creating outstanding customer experiences while balancing business priorities and supporting the people who make it all happen. As a committee member of the BT Carers Network, I support colleagues who are carers and proudly offer allyship to the LGBTQI+ community — because inclusion and understanding drive better teams. Over the years, I’ve managed and mentored teams across Mobile Operators, Service Providers, and Manufacturing organisations, developing strong leaders and fostering collaboration. I take genuine pride in helping people grow, both personally and professionally. I bring a deep understanding of the telecoms landscape, confident communication at all business levels, and hands-on experience delivering major projects — including software releases at BlackBerry for EMEA and APAC regions. I’m ITIL4 Foundation certified and known for building trust, solving problems, and getting results — whether that’s reducing debt, streamlining operations, or improving customer satisfaction. Outside of work, I’m a SEND parent to three autistic daughters, and an advocate for autism, ADHD, mental health, ARFID, and inclusion. These experiences shape my leadership style — empathetic, adaptable, and focused on supporting people to succeed.
