ABOUT JOHN F. FISHER

I\'ve spent my career at the intersection of two things I love: the way technology shapes human experience, and the power of place, story, and culture to move people. That through-line runs through everything I\'ve done — helping Xperi build better entertainment experiences in the home; working with CREST to advance smarter, more sustainable approaches to travel and destination engagement; and now at WQED, helping transform a beloved public broadcaster into a true cultural connector — one that meets communities where they are and brings them closer to the stories that matter. Along the way, I\'ve led marketing strategy, digital transformation, and customer experience initiatives at global organizations like SAP, Aramark, and Mars — always with the same underlying question: how do we use data and technology not just to reach people, but to genuinely connect with them? My work tends to live at the overlap of three things: Experience design — how do organizations create moments that are engaging, meaningful, and memorable?Digital strategy — how does technology enable better storytelling, deeper engagement, and smarter decisions?Cultural insight — what do people actually want from the places, institutions, and media they interact with? Whether I\'m advising on audience strategy, building digital engagement frameworks, or exploring how AI and immersive media can reshape the way we experience culture and travel, I\'m drawn to organizations that believe the best technology is invisible — it just makes the experience feel more human. I\'d love to connect with others who are thinking about these intersections.
