About Jeremy Fisher

Design allows us to see the future. It’s a future that we can shape, define, and build together.I grew up in northern California around the family print shop. There was something magical about seeing fresh ink and paper transformed into a beautiful finished product.I never learned to run the family printing press. Instead, I built a career in user experience design—researching, sketching, writing, organizing, prototyping, testing, coding, shipping, measuring, documenting, and refining digital systems and solutions, both large and small.I work to understand and balance user needs, business goals, and technology constraints. I deliver design solutions that reach millions of users and drive business results. I enjoy collaborating with stakeholders and partners across business, engineering, design, content, research, and beyond — helping to grow and cultivate the understanding and practice of design.Beyond design, I enjoy writing code. There’s an important connection between good design and effective engineering. Writing code helps me stay grounded in those connections, which in turn keeps me better equipped to engage in the software development process. And, every now and then, I code a solution that helps change the way design work gets done.Speaking of which — I am fascinated by the connections between the software tools that we design and build, and the ways in which those tools then shape how we think and work.Outside work, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my wife and two kids in our home state of Colorado. To recharge and reset, it’s good to find quiet places and feel small in a great, big, awe-inspiring natural world.And the future? I’m excited for what we can design and build together.

   Contributed research and design leadership for two generations of design systems, forging an approach that combines a holistic vision for end-to-end experiences, with the depth and detail of individual components and patterns. Leveraged today across web and mobile apps- Contributed research and design leadership in the foundational framing of next-generation member service portal on web and native apps. Supports 130+ million monthly user interactions and grew product acquisition starts by more than 35%- Led research, design, stakeholder alignment, and engineering coordination for usaa.com global navigation system, delivering a 19% increase in product storefront engagement- Led research and design of unified information architecture for website and apps, and then led multidisciplinary teams in achieving alignment and resolving roadblocks- Designed and developed a React.js-based application for viewing and managing information architecture in source-controlled GitLab repository, along with Jira workflow for tracking- Led research and design for unified money movement platform and launch of Zelle® person-to-person payments- Co-invented a patented approach to chat interfaces that emphasizes guided interactions, while seamlessly bridging between computer- and human-driven conversations.
