I\'m exploring ideas about landscape, in particular how to convey aspects of space and movement, and see my paintings as journeys through paint ideas with some figuration emerging from the act of painting. As soon as I begin to paint, I start to \'see\' worlds of potential in the paint. It is important for me that the final image conveys a personal world. I have exhibited on a national and international level and most recently my speech proposal was selected for the international art symposium of the 8th Beijing International Art Biennale. Part of my speech presentation is included as a Powerpoint under my About section. I spoke about the theme,\'A Colourful World and a Shared Future\' and how my painting related to the theme, and also about Man\'s Oneness with Nature (an underlying aspect of my painting) and our need to value every living creature.I regularly submit work for national and international exhibitions, I\'m familiar with the contemporary art world and I have a large artist network across social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. I also undertake and apply for artist residencies. Along with painting I like to evaluate my ideas and sources in my artist blog, DIARY OF AN ARTIST, which also includes reviews of exhibitions. Writing is a strong companion for my painting because it allows me to focus on my evolving ideas and to try to put in to words what my current interests may be while recognising that art can not be defined.I have exhibited in China, Latvia, Greece, Cyprus, Belarus, Malaysia, Belgium, and the UK. I have completed a residency in Latvia and in China.I have also written articles for THE JACKDAW and have my own have had paintings selected for the 8th Beijing International Art Biennale 2019, Dafen International Painting Biennale (China, 2018) the Salon des Beaux Arts 2018 at the Caroussel du Louvre, Paris, and the 8th Beijing International Art Biennale 2019.
