ABOUT FIONA SHORT

Registered Architect, leader, and strategic thinker specialising in sustainable design outcomes for the built environment. My greatest strength is pairing regenerative design thinking with collaborative design models, at the strategic briefing stage of the project, to discover the truly valuable opportunities and pathway forward for a project. Although I have experience in various building typologies from single and multi-residential to master planning, healthcare, civic and educational projects, I am mosted interested in exploring new models of higher density residential design with a strong community and climate regenerative design focus that propels forward the industry in New Zealand. My personal goal is to help design teams, clients and our business find the pathway to positive impact and sustainable outcomes for the users of the building or space, the community it becomes part of, and the natural environment, within the project limits. Out of work I spend my time exploring our wonderful country by hiking and learning the skills to live a more sustainable lifestyle.
