37 years extensive operational leadership and investment banking career at top ranked global banks. I am now building a career as a Non Executive Director and currently have two active board roles. Track record of running successful banking businesses from start ups to $4 billion in revenues. Bring considerable experience in devising & implementing effective global growth strategies; & building strong teams. Repeatedly have raised both revenue & profitability materially; increased market share significantly; and won top banking industry awards whilst ensuring the businesses I led met all their credit, risk, financial, audit, & regulatory requirements. World wide experience advising boards & top managements of FTSE 100 companies, multinationals, and private equity and infrastructure funds on major strategic initiatives; project, infrastructure & corporate finance; & risk management solutions. Advised and led strategic transactions from US$20 mm to US$ 80 billion primarily in the telecommunications, infrastructure, energy, resources and industrial sectors. Well connected in the City; and used to working effectively with regulators in many countries, & in complex and challenging environments. An early ESG adopter, I have been actively engaged in global leadership roles in ESG since 2004. I am a founding member of the ESG committees for both my current boards; one of which, RHI-Magnesita, is already viewed, after two years, as the global leader in ESG in its industrial sector. Extensive big data experience throughout my career which I have used to drive revenue & market share growth; & substantial cost efficiencies; as well as far reaching culture change. I am very curious and good at scanning the environment to seek insights so as to spot unique opportunities & risks. I then work hard to build a consensus around an agreed strategy to generate long term value. I also know strategic success requires executing well. I attribute the fact I have repeatedly been selected by clients to advise and execute their most critical transactions to my high attention to detail & planning.
