About Fiona Kaufmann

Fiona Kaufmann (née Burgess), Associate Director at EY\'s Center for Board Matters, helps boards and committees in their oversight roles by advising on board composition and effectiveness, regulatory and listing matters, and disclosure requirements. Fiona also co-leads the EY Center for Board Matters\' investor outreach and engagement efforts, involving conversations each year with more than 60 participants representing more than $55 trillion in assets under management, including large asset managers; public, labor and faith-based funds; socially responsible investors; and other investor advisors and associations. Fiona has a career spanning corporate and the investor perspectives on corporate governance since completing her Masters of Research in Corporate Governance and Business Ethics at Birkbeck College, University of London. Prior to joining EY, she worked for a board evaluation firm, conducting director interviews and analyzing survey data. She also conducted research and drafted voting recommendations for shareholders at Pensions & Investments Research Consultants (PIRC), a proxy advisory firm.Fiona is a member of the Council of Institutional Investors and the Society for Corporate Governance.
