Innovative educator and business leader with over 16years of experience in teaching and examining Business, Digital, and Tourism, specializing in ecosystem development within Cyber, Digital, and Business Skills. Having transitioned into the fintech sector due to family commitments, I realise I am truly dedicated and passionate about helping young people strive in their careers, hence I am returning to the education sector. My background includes 8 years of managerial experience in the industry, where I successfully ran my own startup for over five years while teaching.I have worked with renowned global and national brands, including Marriott International, Marketing Manchester, Accor, Morgan Stanley, and Whitbread. As a passionate advocate for equal opportunities, I strive to empower young people from diverse backgrounds and bridge the skills gap between education and industry needs. My commitment to employer engagement ensures that curriculum development and training align with the demands of the evolving job market.Key accomplishments include serving as an experienced Programme Leader, A Level Examiner, and certified Wedding and Event Manager, as well as leading initiatives to transition from paper-based marking to online systems, receiving positive feedback from both staff and students. I am Ofsted trained with a track record of Grade 1 ‘Outstanding’ lesson observations, and I was invited to contribute to Ofsted\'s VLE published handbook following an inspection.In addition to my professional endeavors, I serve as a Governor for a Primary School and am a prospective Labour Councillor for the Buckshaw and Whittle ward in the upcoming May elections. I am also on the board for Inclusion and Equality at Burnley Football Club and I actively participate in fundraising initiatives, having raised £3,500 through the PTA for school events.Above all, my greatest achievement is being a mother to two wonderful boys who inspire me with their kindness, enthusiasm, and love.
