ABOUT FIONA DEAL

Fiona is an experienced and award-winning HR & Organisational Development specialist. She joined Golding Homes in May 2022 to deliver the People and Culture Strategy. She was promoted to the Executive Team in January 2023. Previously she led culture change and digital transformation at Network Homes. In 2019 Fiona was voted HR Director of the Year twice, in 2 separate awards (Personnel Today and HR Excellence Awards), having steered Network Homes to achieving 39th place in the Sunday Times Best non-for-profit companies to work for. Network won in 4 other categories for awards in HR Excellence in 2019, including employee engagement, learning and development, Best HR Team and the Gold Award. Network also achieved another Personnel Today Award for Excellence in Public Service HR. Fiona picked up an \'HR Most Influential - Making Waves Award\' presented by HR Magazine. In 2013, Fiona was ranked at number 22 in a top 100 poll conducted by HR Excellence Magazine of \'Most Influential HR Practitioners\'. Also in 2013, Fiona was awarded a Global Business Excellence Award as \'Outstanding Executive\', while working as Executive Director People & Culture for AmicusHorizon (now Southern), achieving a top 10 place in the Sunday Times Best Companies, and an unprecedented six HR Excellence Awards. Fiona ensures people are at the heart of the business, and technology is in place to make it easy for people to do a great job. Fiona believes that “leadership creates culture” and that “culture eats strategy for breakfast”. She considers her role is to build pride, confidence and belief, because happy staff = happy customers = business benefit.
