I’m a commercially minded lawyer with over 10 years\' experience across both private practice and in-house roles. Whilst laws and regulations are is central to what I do, my approach goes beyond legal advice—I\'m passionate about understanding the inner workings of a business, aligning legal solutions with commercial goals, and helping teams navigate risk with clarity and confidence.Who I help: I support businesses and their leadership teams to ensure they are compliant with legal obligations and the their commercial relationships reflect their position on risk and properly articulate the services they are purchasing or supplying. Skills: Leadership | SLT engagement | Commercial Contracts | Data Privacy | Process improvement | Line management | Legal operations development | Training of colleagues | Template development and management| M&A support | Employment Law | Dispute Resolution | Horizon Scanning | Communication | Stakeholder Management | Legal Advice Impact- I successfully negotiated updated contractual terms with relevant supplier to ensure Tesco Bank’s compliance with its regulatory obligations- I led the legal aspect of the project to update intragroup agreements to proper articulation of outsourced services in compliance with FCA and PRA requirements- I regularly provided advice to c-suite on issues such as risk management, employment (TUPE) and potential disputes. As a result of my advice, the c-suite made strategic decisions considering the legal position- I provided M&S particularly focused on shared services and supplier engagement. As a result of this, suppliers understood the sale process and we properly articulated the key shared services in the transitional services agreement- I was involved in improving the process for legal instructions and allowing business areas to self serve- I led the project to review all suppliers to identify where personal data was being transferred outside of the UK and put in place the updated standard contractual clauses. I successfully ensured that all updated clauses were in place before the ICO’s deadline- Following a data breach, I was part of the team advising the business on legal requirements for reporting to the ICO and communication with customers. We successfully navigated the situation to avoid significant customer complaints and the ICO were satisfied with the information shared and did not impose any fines.
