I am a senior software executive with 10+ years of experience leading disparate software development groups.I established and lead the engineering team at Discern, a software company that provides a SaaS solution for automating and managing legal entity compliance. I work defining product and engineering solutions and lead the team delivering software to ease the burden of the complexity of differing compliance rules across US states and territories. Before joining Discern, I worked as an executive at a software product and consulting company, Diona, delivering products and system implementations to the Government Health and Human services market. I was responsible for leading multiple software teams, hiring, people management, customer management and P&L for particular projects and locations such as New York City and New Zealand. I’ve worked with a range of programming languages, databases, rules and workflow engines and different management and delivery methodologies. I’m currently feeling Go and Temporal.I love building software and supporting people to solve real problems, As common for an Irishman I live in New York City, and have previously lived in Thailand, India and New Zealand.
