own.page/finnianf‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ Second-year Computer Science student at Newcastle University, focused on applying data to the \'not easy\' problems.My interests include data science, machine learning, FinTech, and High Performance Computing. I’ve built my own stock market analysis tool in Python using PyTorch and Dash.At Newcastle, I serve as President for the CS Society, Peer Mentor for the School of Computing, and have won the yearly tournament for the intramural basketball with my team.I’ve attended the University of Edinburgh for its CS Summer School on High Performance Computing through the EPCC, becoming 1 of 15 students for my year\'s cohort. Programming directly on the Cirrus-2 supercomputer and learning how to use parallel programming with C.I am currently on track for a first-class at Newcastle, and I previously attained a first-class CertHE in CS at Aberdeen University, gaining me entry onto my UG course at Newcastle.While attending university, I have interned during the springs and summers at an array of places, including McKinsey & Company, Visa, Barclays, L\'Oreal, and twice within local government councils through a return offer.I am motivated by applying my skillset within data, with the social aspect I build outside of my studies, to solve real-world problems.
