I work in the Protein and Cellular Sciences Team at Bicycle Therapeutics providing analytics support to the protein scientists who generate the protein reagents required for screening and all the other teams who need top quality protein reagents. My main focus is protein mass spectrometry which is the analytical workhorse generating the data that qualifies and gives us confidence in all our reagents. Mass spec is the most versatile analytical platform for a multitude of applications, from drug target discovery all the way through to characterising mechanism of action of drugs in vivo. My other primary role is to evaluate and introduce new mass spec hardware and applications to drive the Bicycle discovery platform.
