About Finn Oreilly
I am a current graduate student at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign working to obtain my Masters of Science in Civil Engineering with a concentration in structural engineering. This past May, I graduated summa cum laude from the University of Notre Dame with my BS in Civil Engineering as well as a minor in engineering corporate practice, and I worked as a structural engineering intern for Schaefer Inc. in Columbus, Ohio where I gained valuable structural engineering experience working on a wide variety of projects. I gained valuable skills in designing and analyzing structures, deriving gravity and lateral loads from ASCE7, developing models in engineering software such as RAM SS, RAM Elements, RAM Connection, and marking up drawings and detailing in Bluebeam.I am pursuing a full-time structural engineering position where I will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and building materials, and I have a specific interest in working on tall buildings as well.
