About Finn Hartman

I am a third-year at the University of Virginia pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience and minors in Statistics and Economics. I am currently a clinical research intern with the UVA Brain Institute and an undergraduate researcher working alongside Professor George Bloom. As well, I am the Vice President of UVA United Against Inequities in Disease, where I help lead service projects to improve health equity in the Charlottesville area. I am focused on collaborating with others and using my skills to advance the communities of which I am part.

In a brief stint, I shadowed vascular surgeon Dr. Albert Sam as he conducted in-office patient care, hospital rounds, and intravenous procedures- Learned through experience the inner workings of the operating room, doctor-patient relationship, charting and office checkups.
