About Filipe Coutinho

I\'m a filmmaker living with OCD with a passion for character-driven, inclusive, and commercial stories. My script, Jambusters, made the 2022 Annual Black List, and in 2021 I was also on the list with Whittier. Additionally, I\'m a Black List Feature Lab alum, in which I was mentored 1-on-1 by Beau Willimon & Jack Thorne, a two-time finalist of the Academy Nicholl\'s Fellowship, a two-time finalist of the Cannes Writers Residency, and the writer and director of numerous award-winning short films. My unique cultural perspective is highlighted by my background. I emigrated from a small town in Portugal and know intimately the struggles of being an immigrant in America. Over the past few years, I\'ve met with Netflix, Lionsgate, Amazon, Hello Sunshine, FX, HBO, & Village Roadshow, to name just a few. I\'m repped by Matt Rosen at RAIN management.
