Mathematics for Morality Independent Learner @Leaf Courses
Learned about complex mathematical concepts such as Fermi Estimates and applied them in real world situations in order to have a positive impact on the world. This was a 5 week programme which tested skills such as critical thinking and problem solving to solve problems in the real world to do with current issues such as poverty and illness.

ABOUT FILIP CHLANDA
I am currently a Year 13 student at Harlington Upper School Sixth Form studying Mathematics, Economics and Sociology. I am able to showcase my academical prowess through having the best GCSE grades in my year at my secondary school with stellar achievements like my 9 in both English Literature and Language and 8 in Mathematics. I am also consistently scoring A grades in my classroom tests in A level displaying my ability to adapt to new environments whilst also being able to consistently work hard and stay on top of my work. I am heavily passionate about the world of business and finance, and seeking how we as people can make economically efficient and ethical decisions in order to positively affect the economy but also not at the cost of human life. Business and Finance has been something I have been passionate since a child and the study of Economics at A level has helped me develop my knowledge and ultimately grow my passion for finance as a whole. I am also part of Leaf’s Mathematics for Morality programme which is organised and run by former and current Oxbridge students, focusing on how I am able to use complex mathematical theorems like Bayes theorem and Fermi estimates and apply them into the real world to making a difference. Over the time of partaking in this course I have been able to learn how what I do can make a difference and how I can prioritise the correct causes of leading pressing problems in the world in order to potentially save human lives across the globe. Now I would like to take the opportunity to network with people and locate opportunities available to me to develop my skill set and network in order to excel academically and within the world of finance.
